About

Here at Rock and Rollover I believe first and foremost that training should be fun and engaging not just for your dog but the whole family.

Our training philosophy

Rock and Rollover K-9 Training Club

Training should never be a chore for you or your pup. My philosophy is that training shouldn’t be something you set time aside to practice for hours a day but something you apply to real world situations in your day to life and we make it easy to do so. I know that my pet parents want pet who is a well mannered member of the family that they can be proud of, not one that jumps through hoops.

I design my teaching with that in mind so that my advice is real world and easily applicable to everyday life. I strive to create an environment where our classes are a family event that everyone looks forward to. While most trainers openly admit that they prefer dogs to people? I love working with both and that’s why I’m good at what I do. I believe in teaching not only using positive reinforcement for the dogs but their people too. I make it my goal to not only connect with the pet and get to know their needs but their people too, and that makes for perfect synergy. Training isn’t about “making your dog do what it’s told” it about bettering communication within the family and that’s what I love doing.

Julian Bronk

Julian Bronk

Growing up I always had a passion for animals and knew I wanted to devote my life to working with them. At the age of 11 I started my own dog walking and pet sitting business serving the Davisville area for 6 years. As I got older I knew I wanted to continue working with and helping dogs and their people. This led me to begin the next chapter of my life working for a large chain pet store in Leaside where I worked for the next 17 years. During that time I had the opportunity to further my education as a trainer and received numerous awards for my service. It was during my tenure there that I got my first dog Raven. Raven was a rescued Pit Bull whom friends of mine with Toronto Animal Services described as “the worst dog they’d ever seen”.

With research, time and patience, I worked with her to the point those same friends ended up describing her as “the best dog they’ve ever seen”. She taught me many lessons and still gives me inspiration in both my personal and professional life. My next dog Odin is best described as a mutt. His whole litter was found abandoned in winter; taken from his mother too young. As my first puppy who (while I got him when when he was just a pup) was a very challenging puppy and taught me numerous lessons about raising a puppy which I apply to my teaching still to this day.

My experience both personally and professionally has taught me that dogs while we strive to teach them, more often than not teach us more about ourselves and sometimes challenge the way with think and act in a way that betters us as people. During the years of the pandemic I realized that I could offer a better quality of service to the dogs and their people in the community without the confines of a large corporation. This led me to going independent and founding Rock and Rollover K-9 training club. This with the goal of creating a fun engaging community of dogs and their people where coming to class isn’t a chore but an event that you’ll never want to stop coming to.
